Meet Hannah!

Hi! I'm the owner and sole practitioner of Willow and Wren Counseling! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor- Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee, and I’ve been practicing as a therapist in the Nashville area for over three years. I’m passionate about supporting girls and women as they navigate life’s transitions—whether that’s managing perfectionism, healing from trauma, clarifying goals, or finding confidence in new seasons of adulthood. My work is grounded in creating a warm, safe, and collaborative space where clients can explore who they are and who they want to become.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m an avid Auburn sports fan, an outdoors lover, and someone who enjoys traveling and experiencing new places. These parts of my life help me stay grounded, curious, and connected—qualities I bring into my work with every client.

Education

2016-2020

B.S. Early Childhood Education
Auburn University

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. During my studies, I developed a strong foundation in child development and learned how to create developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments for young children. I gained practical skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and understanding the social-emotional needs of growing children. My coursework and field experiences emphasized the importance of meeting children where they are developmentally, fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere, and adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs. These experiences laid an important foundation for the work I do today, especially in understanding behavior, emotional regulation, and the power of compassionate, developmentally informed support.

2020-2022

M.Ed. Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Auburn University

I completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Auburn University as well, where I built strong clinical skills in assessment, therapeutic communication, and evidence-based interventions. During my practicum and internship, I worked in higher levels of care, gaining valuable experience with diverse client needs and acute mental health challenges. These experiences prepared me to provide trauma-informed, compassionate, and effective support. After graduating, I moved to Nashville to begin my work as a clinician.
