Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: November 9 2025
Willow and Wren Counseling is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors to our website. We are continually working to improve the user experience and applying relevant accessibility standards.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and follow the principles underlying the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (including Section 508) as applicable. We also recognize that Tennessee state guidance incorporates these federal standards. Tennessee State Government+2UT Institute of Agriculture+2
Measures to Support Accessibility
To ensure an accessible experience, we take the following steps:
-
Use semantic HTML, meaningful alt-text for images, sufficient color contrast, and keyboard-navigable features.
-
Include captioning or text transcripts for multimedia where possible.
-
Review and remediate website content and third-party tools for accessibility.
-
Train staff and integrate accessibility considerations into our website updates.
Known Limitations & Ongoing Work
While we are committed to accessibility, our website may not yet be fully compliant with all accessibility standards in every respect. Some content may not yet have been optimized for all assistive technologies (for example older PDFs, videos without full transcripts, or legacy pages). We continuously review and modify the site to improve accessibility.
